If you’re a fan of Christmas markets, you probably already know that Sutton’s is truly something special!
And to make your visit even more memorable,
here are a few ideas for activities that go hand in hand with this festive outing.
Over two weekends — November 29–30 and December 6–7, 2025 — about thirty exhibitors will gather under a large heated tent. Artisans, creators, and producers from Brome-Missisquoi will be there to offer you unique gift ideas.
Free tastings and craft activities for kids (with hot chocolate, of course!) are also part of the program.
After your visit? Take your pick according to your interests!
Christmas Market and… the Great Outdoors
Once you’ve toured the market, take a short walk to Godue Park and hit the Village-Mountain Trail. This easy, five-kilometre trail offers a peaceful stroll through beautiful surroundings. If you’re looking for something a bit longer, drive just a few minutes to the Parc d’environnement naturel de Sutton entrance and set out to explore its 52 kilometres of trails.
Christmas Market and… Sweet Treats
After the cheerful hustle and bustle of the market, you might want a calm spot to warm up and relax.
Two cozy Sutton favourites are L’Échappée Belle—a delightful combination of chocolate shop, bookstore, gourmet grocery, and café—and L’Art des possibles – Comptoir de thés, where tea lovers will feel right at home.
Christmas Market and… Culture
Starting November 27, Arts Sutton Art Centre presents its annual juried exhibition, showcasing works by around sixty member artists from various disciplines.
Let yourself be inspired by local creativity and vote for your favourite artist, who will win a solo exhibition at the gallery in 2026.
Another great cultural suggestion for the December 6–7 weekend is
Le Petit salon du livre, organized by the Sutton Art School. This bilingual, multi-generational event features panel discussions, film screenings, concerts, a gourmet counter, and of course, the discovery of dozens of talented authors.
Psst! The event continues the following weekend, December 13–14.
Christmas Market and… Craft Beer
The village of Sutton is home to two excellent microbreweries: Auberge Sutton Brouërie and Microbrasserie À l’Abordage.
Settle into one of their warm, welcoming taprooms and enjoy a local beer in good company.
Christmas Market and… Family Fun
Kids and grown-ups alike will love this one-of-a-kind activity: taking a goat walk at Chèvrerie du chemin Alderbrooke!
Just ten minutes from Sutton village, this experience promises unforgettable family moments—and the cutest photos.
With its charming Christmas market and a wide range of activities for everyone, Sutton is the perfect place to soak up the magic of the holiday season. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, with friends, or as a family, you’re in for a truly festive getaway.
